Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) poll campaign in Tamil Nadu with a rally at Vandalur in Chennai later today, kickstarting his campaign ahead of the Lok Sabha election.
All alliance parties will share the dais and cadres will also participate in the event. Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam and senior functionaries of AIADMK, including SP Velumani and P Thangamani, on Saturday inspected the venue and discussed the arrangements for erecting a grand stage.
BJP State president Tamilisai Soundararajan, after flagging off a two-wheeler rally on Walltax Road highlighting the achievements of NDA government in the past five years, told reporters that the election campaign meeting of the Prime Minister will be a massive one.
“The mega rally on March 6 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be a turning point in Tamil Nadu politics. Alliance leaders of NDA will share stage with our Prime Minister,” Soundararajan said.
Recently, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal announced that the political parties of the NDA in Tamil Nadu will hold a grand meeting near Chennai, which will also be attended by Narendra Modi and Tamil Nadu CM E Palaniswami and O Panneerselvam
He also said that many other leaders from the alliance will be present and also share the stage with PM Narendra Modi. “On March 6, we will have a grand meeting of BJP-AIADMK-PMK alliance near Chennai. PM Modi will attend the meeting along with Tamil Nadu CM, Deputy CM, the PMK leaders and several other leaders will share the stage,” he said.
