Shruti Haasan is upset with media reports which claimed that she likes Hindi cinema more tha south Indian films.
“Certain Telugu publications have misinterpreted a quote from a national interview I gave and are writing articles that are untrue,” she said.
“Just to clarify I am extremely proud of having been a part of films like race gurram and Gabbar Singh- GS with Pawan Kalyan Garu was life changing !!” the actress-singer-composer said.
Shruti added, “Cont..being a part of Telugu and South Indian film industry is a part of my heart, truly.that interview was given in context to the Hindi films I did and perception of north VS south in Indian films which in itself ive never liked – hope that clears things up for the everyone 🙏🏽.”
Shruti is currently part of Vijay Sethupathi-starrer Laabam directed by SP Jananathan, Pawan Kalyan’s Vakeel Saab and Ravi Teja-starrer Krack among other projects.
She had recently shared her stylish new mask that she has designed herself.
Sharing a video of herself with the mask, Shruti posted, “I am off to work to sing actually in my new button mask that I made. Do you love it? I do, it’s so happy.”
