Malavika Mohanan, who is spending the lockdown period by reading books, has said she is impressed with a book penned by American actor-director Woody Allen.
Posting a photo of herself reading his book, ‘Without Feathers’, she wrote, “Woody Allen is surprisingly a very good author, too.” Stating that her dad, KU Mohanan, a well-known cinematographer in the industry, shot the photograph, she added, ” @kumohanan surprisingly takes good pictures of his daughter too.”
The pretty actress, who was part of superstar Rajinikanth’s Petta directed by Karthik Subbaraj last year, is playing the female lead in Vijay starrer Master, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.
Recently, she called out a sexist tweet. The image feature cartoon versions of the “Master” movie crew, where the woman in question (Malavika) is seen in the kitchen, while the men including Vijay, Vijay Sethupathi seem to be relaxing.
She tweeted: “The task of a woman even in a hypothetical ‘movie house’ is to cook? When will gender roles die? Sigh.” But in a few minutes, she took it down after angry responses in the comments section. The release of the Vijay-starrer Master is currently on hold amidst the coronavirus pandemic
Last month,she shared a video of herself riding a race bike on the Buddh international circuit’ in Noida. Malavika is seen wearing a full racing suit and having a go on the racing circuit.
Sharing a few pictures and a video, Malavika said that she took her love for riding a notch higher last June when she rode with some of the best riders at India’s first formula one track. She seems to have apparently rode the Yamaha R15 version 3.
