Malavika Mohanan completes her portions in ‘Thalapathy-64’, goes to Africa

Malavika Mohanan of Petta and Vandha Rajava Thaan Varuven is the leading lady of Vijay’s upcoming film fondly called as Thalapathy-64. She has completed shooting for her portions in the movie and has left for Africa for vacation.

Uploading a set of photos on her social media timeline, she posted: “In the last 2 years I have developed a lot of interest and passion in wildlife, and have been making trips to various forests across the country to see more animals in their natural habitat and to learn more about them.

From visiting forests like Kabini, Masinagudi, Wayanad, etc in India, to now be able to add a different kind of terrain and ecosystem like Africa to my list has been such a thrilling experience.

With so much time being spent round wildlife, I’ve also increasingly been feeling the need to capture some of those moments. We were on a game drive in Ndutu a couple of days back and we saw this gorgeous lioness perched on a tree branch. We watched and observed her for a good 20 minutes and I also got the chance to take some lovely photographs of her.”

Meanwhile, it is learnt that both Malavika Mohanan and Andrea Jeremiah have stunt scenes in Thalapathy-64. Malavika has predominantly worked in the Malayalam language films. She has also appeared in Tamil, Hindi and Kannada language films.

The daughter of cinematographer K. U. Mohanan, Malavika made her acting debut with the romantic drama Pattam Pole (2013). Following a series of lead roles in Malayalam and Kannada films, she won critical acclaim after appearing in Majid Majidi’s drama film, Beyond the Clouds (2017), portraying a dweller of Mumbai’s dhobi ghat area.
