“A Thought-Provoking Love Story That Mirrors Society’s Contradictions”
Debutante director Bharath J.S. makes an impressive entry with a film that thoughtfully explores contemporary social issues while placing human emotions and relationships at its heart. The movie particularly focuses on the challenges faced by lovers in society and the emotional conflicts that individuals experience when confronted by social expectations and prejudices.
One of the film’s strengths is the way it addresses the social setbacks faced by couples, especially when they come from contrasting backgrounds. Rather than merely presenting a love story, the film attempts to examine the larger social structures and attitudes that often stand in the way of relationships. This gives the narrative a meaningful and relevant dimension.
Another major highlight is the music and background score by Joel Johns, who makes his Kollywood debut after establishing himself in Mollywood. His BGM deserves special mention for its effective contribution to the mood and emotional impact of several sequences. It would certainly be interesting to watch more of his work in Tamil cinema.

Particularly striking is the scene in which a beggar reflects on the significance of women shedding blood, while observing that men have comparatively fewer opportunities to experience such sacrifice. The sequence carries an unusual social observation and adds depth to the film’s commentary.
The final portions are especially moving, with the climax successfully bringing together the emotional and social themes explored throughout the narrative. Bharath J.S. deserves appreciation for attempting to tell a story that goes beyond conventional romantic themes and engages with issues that remain relevant in society.
Overall, this is a promising debut that combines romance, emotion and social commentary. With its strong performances, effective BGM and thought-provoking moments, the film makes for a worthwhile watch.
