Maha movie review
Story:
Hansika was a air-hostess who lives with her daughter Manasvi after the demise of her husband Simbhu. A psycho killer kidnaps and murders Manasvi. Similar kidnaps and deaths continue to happen.
Hansika decides to take on the serial killer and starts hunting for him.
Meanwhile, Srikanth is a cop who is investigating the case. Who is the serial killer and what is his motive.
Was Hansika able to find him forms the rest of the story.
Analysis:
Director Jameel has tried to deliver a thriller based on the violence against girl children. Though the story is good on paper, the execution could have been better.
Despite getting an actor of Simbhu’s stature to play a cameo, the director has not utilised him well.
Simbhu appears just for a stunt sequence and some romantic portions.
Hansika as the grieving mother tries to carry the entire movie on her shoulder but it has not come out as expected.
Srikanth as the cop is adequate in the role, but there could have been more depth to his character.
Rest of the cast have done their part well. Sujith Shankar’s portrayal of the serial killer is appreciable.
Background score by Ghibran is average.
