Madras High Court and customs office receive bomb threat
The Madras High Court received bomb threats on Friday, prompting a swift response from security agencies. According to sources, an email was sent to the office of the Director General of Police (DGP) claiming that RDX explosives had been planted at the United States Embassy, the Madras High Court, and a school.
Following the threat, a bomb squad conducted a thorough sweep of multiple locations inside the High Court premises to ensure the safety of staff, lawyers, and visitors. Authorities have urged the public to remain calm as investigations continue into the origin and credibility of the threat.
On July 30, a bomb threat triggered panic in a Bengaluru apartment after a message warning of an attack was discovered scribbled on the apartment wall. The message, which read “will blast India from Pakistan,” was found in Alphine Pyramid Apartment located in Kodigehalli area in the city.
The apartment complex is home to nearly 300 families. Alarmed residents alerted the police as soon as the writing was spotted. In response, bomb disposal teams, sniffer dog squads, and intelligence personnel rushed to the location and began a detailed search of the premises.
