Madhavan has revealed that he had to sit on a chair for 14 hours to wear make-up for his upcoming film titled Rocketry – The Nambi Effect, which is based on the life of legendary ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan.
Releasing a video on the make-up, the Alaipayuthey and Vikram Vedha actor said, “When getting in the character take 2 years and getting the look in place take 14 hrs on the chair.”
“I am very excited that Nambi sir is back to his original look. He look fifteen years younger. I have no idea how I am going to look,” the Minnale and Run acor added.
“I have never been so closed up in my life, but fingers crossed and hoping for the best. I am half way there I think, said Madhavan, who is popular not just in Kollywood, but also in Tollywood and Bollywood.
The film being directed by Ananth Mahadevan and Madhavan is bankrolled by Tricolour Films in association with Vijay Moolan Talkies and Saffron Ganesha Entertainment.
In December, releasing his look in the film, Madhavan wrote: “@NambiNa69586681 So very tough to get to where you are sir, even merely look look-wise .. But doing my very very best ..@rocketryfilm @Tricolourfilm @vijaymoolan.”
The star has undergone a thorough transformation for the role of scientist Nambi Narayanan. I heard about the ISRO spy case and how Nambi Narayanan, who was charged with espionage, fought to prove his innocence,” Madhavan said.
He added: “When I met this gentleman, I learned the whole story behind his life. Unfortunately, it was the spy case that brought him to limelight whereas he should have been known for a much better reason.”
