Vikram Vedha jodi Madhavan and Shraddha Srinath will team up once again in Maara. To be directed by Dhilip Kumar who made the acclaimed short film Kalki, the film is said to be a romantic drama between two mature adults.
Talking about the film, the director says, “After a very long time, Madhavan is acting in a pure romance drama. He has done the Tanu Weds Manu films in Hindi, but in those, he had to act passive. This one will be a very charming character.”
He adds: “Mainly, the female protagonist’s character has got a lot to do with how Shraddha is in real life. It’s a character that is mature, and Madhavan’s is also in the same vein.”
Maara will have music composed by Ghibran, Deepak Bhagawan has been roped in to crank the camera and Bhuvan Srinivasan is in charge for the cuts.
Reports say that the principal shoot of the film will go on floors in Chennai once the team confirms the rest of the cast and crew.
While Dhilip has written the main script, the additional screenplay has been written by Bipin. The dialogues are by Neelan, who has worked on Arindhum Ariyamalum and Pattiyal.
