Listen to that govt, give gift to your family: Rajini’s super message

Superstar Rajinikanth on Tuesday greeted people on the occasion of Tamil New Year’s Day while his fellow actor Kamal Haasan remembered Dr B R Ambedkar whose birth anniversary falls on April 14.

Taking to Twitter, Rajinikanth wished the new year to be pleasant. In the same vein, the actor appreciated scores of members of his Rajini Makkal Mandram (RMM), who are staking their lives to serve the people in this time of crisis

In a video message released to extend his Tamil New year greetings, he urged Tamils living everywhere, including foreign countries, to follow the restrictions to protect themselves from the contagion, saying this would be their biggest gift to their family members this year.

“Coronavirus has affected the whole world and India and Tamil Nadu are no exceptions. Those away from you, your relatives and family members, always keep thinking about you and are worried about you,” he said.

In whichever country you live, follow the restrictions and protect yourself. This is the biggest gift you are giving this year to your relatives and family members. Live well, don’t worry. This too shall pass, he added.

Addressing the Tamil people who reside in various parts of the world, the seasoned actor mentioned about how everybody back at home is thinking and caring about them.

He also asked the expatriates to follow the rules, instructions and guidelines imposed by the government of the place they are residing in.

Rajinikanth urged Tamils in every nation to follow restrictions imposed by governments to protect themselves from the highly contagious coronavirus and assured them that “this too shall pass”.
