Story:

While Vijay says that he is mistaken for someone else. Sanjay Dutt and gang are convinced that he is one among them.

What is Vijay’s true identity, why is Sanjay Dutt and gang after him forms the rest of the story.

Analysis:

Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the movie follows the template commercial revenge drama.

However, the director has tried to present the screenplay in an interesting manner.

This has worked out well in the first half, but the writing could have been better in the second half.

A few portions look forced which makes the narrative fall flat at times.

Vijay is seen in a performance oriented role where his character goes through various emotions.

He has performed well in the emotional sequences and as usual shines in the action blocks.

With his character having two dimension, he has shown subtle variation.

Trisha as Vijay’s wife comes throughout the movie. She has minimal diaolgue but makes her presence felt.

Sanjay Dutt and Arjun have given convincing performances.

Gautham Vasudev Menon comes throgh out the movie and has justice to his role.

Rest of the characters including Mysskin, Priya Anand and Sandy have all done their part well.

The techincal aspects of the movie are good.

Anirudh’s BGM is the backbone of the movie. Manoj Paramahamsa’s camerawork has captured the proceedings in an interesting manner.

Rating: 3.25/5
