A day after Vijay met Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami, seeking the government’s support to release his upcoming film Master in theaters with full capacity, the makers of the movie have announced that the film will be released on 13 January.
Sources said the government will allow theatres to have 100 per cent occupancy. The movie bankrolled by XB creators was recently cleared by the Censor board with a U/A certificate.
The movie directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj will be released simultaneously in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi.
Master stars Vijay Sethupathi as the antagonist and Malavika Mohanan as the female lead. Shanthanu, Arjun Das, and Andrea will also be playing significant roles in the film.
Master has been cleared by the censor board with a U/A certificate. Recently, the State government had announced that it is ready to consider to give special show for Master if the makers request.
Tamil Nadu Information and Publicity Minister Kadambur Raju said if proper request is made by the makers then permission will be granted for the special shows.
