Last day of Assembly session, Jaya to reply: On the last day of the first session of the 15th Assembly today, chief minister J Jayalalithaa will deliver her reply on the thanksgiving motion to the governor’s address.
On Wednesday, the maiden speech of leader of the opposition M K Stalin was virtually disrupted with intermittent interventions from the ruling AIADMK members.
Finally, the 89 MLAs of the DMK walked out of the assembly after speaker P Dhanapal expunged certain portions of Stalin’s speech.
