Kuzhali movie review

Story:

Aara is from a upper caste family and studies in the same class as Vignesh who is from a lower caste.

Their friendship becomes love. Relatives of Aara come to know about their love.

They stop sending her to school. However, Aara wishes to continue her story.

So she decides to elope with Vignesh so that she can study somewhere. What happens next forms the rest of the story.

Analysis:

Very few films have managed to capture the nativity of a village effectively in the recent films. However, director Chera Kalaiyarasan has ensured that the movie has nativity written all over it.

He has managed to bring out his thoughts effectively on screen. He has also carefully handled a sensitive subject. Vignesh has breathed soul into his character.

He has delivered a natural performance. On the other hand Ara does not look like a new comer.

She has understood the importance of her role and has delivered an emotional performance.

Rest of the cast have also done their part well.

Music Composer Udhaykumar has given some fresh beats and his hardwork is visible in the songs and BGM. Cinematographer Sameer has captured Dindugal and neighbouring areas aesthetically.

Rating: 3.4/5
