Aged 45, his sudden demise has sent shockwaves across Tamil film industry with many celebrities grieving his loss. Vadivelu Balaji was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai recently after suffering a cardiac arrest.

The comedian was apparently paralyzed following the attack and had been under treatment for the past 15 days. After not being able to manage the expenses at that hospital, he is said to have shifted to a couple of other hospitals and finally to the Government hospital Thursday morning.
Unfortunately, efforts to save him proved futile and he passed away.

Though he made his television debut with ‘Kalaka Povadhu Yaaru’, he became popular with the game show ‘Adhu Idhu Edhu’ hosted by Sivakarthikeyan.
