Keerthy Suresh aims another National Award?

Closeon the heels of winning National Award for her stupendous performance as veteran actress Savitri in the biopic Nadigayar Thilakam, it looks like Keerthy Suresh is targeting one more.

For, the teaser of her upcoming film Good Luck Sakhi, which was released on Independence Day, has won accolades from various quarters for the actress’ brilliant performance in it. Many have been saying she would win National Award once again.

Posting the teaser, Keerthy wrote, ”Sakhi has arrived! Here comes the teaser for ̷B̷a̷d̷ Good Luck Sakhi! Wishing you all a very #HappyIndependenceDay!”

The teaser gives us a glimpse of the lead cast. In Good Luck Sakhi, Keerhty Suresh will be seen essaying a tribal girl who dreams of becoming a rifle shooter named Sakhi. Jagapathi Babu is her coach. Aadhi Pinisetty plays a stage actor Goli Raju in the film. Keerthy is once again grabbing the eyeballs.

The teaser also includes a reference to Keerthy Suresh’s 2018 film Mahanati, for which she won the National Film Award for Best Actress for her portrayal of actor Savitri. As Aadhi Pinisetty, who plays a theatre artist in the film, insists that she call her by his stage name Rama Rao, Keerthy says, “If you are Rama Rao, I am Savitri.”

The teaser opens with Suresh’s character Sakhi who is all set to get married but her groom meets with an accident. Soon, we are told by a voice-over that there is a reason why Sakhi is called “Bad luck Sakhi” by the villagers. But not everything is bad for Sakhi as she also has a companion in Aadi’s character Goli Raju, who prefers to be called Rama Rao.
