Kashi Tamil Sangamam 4.0 Inaugurated in Varanasi
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the fourth edition of Kashi Tamil Sangamam in Varanasi on Tuesday.
Addressing the event, Pradhan said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi initiated the first edition of Kashi Tamil Sangamam in 2022 with a vision to build a cultural bridge between North and South India.
He added that this annual event has strengthened these bonds manifolds. He said that India’s multilingual nature is its strength, and this event has become a public movement.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath described the event as a grand confluence of language, culture, and traditions, reinforcing the spirit of “Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat”.
Earlier, Union State Minister for Information and Broadcasting, L Murugan inaugurated an exhibition by the Central Bureau of Communication at Namo Ghat, featuring the Kashi Tamil Sangamam.
He highlighted that several new elements are being introduced in this fourth edition and expressed hope that it will further strengthen mutual bonds. Over 1,400 delegates from Tamil Nadu are attending the event.
This initiative aims to spread Tamil language and culture to other parts of the country, symbolizing unity.
