Karunakaran apologises to Vijay fans

The tussle between comedian Karunakaran and fans of Vijay was once a popular trending topic on the social media. Heated words were exchanged between the two.

However, in a bid to bury the differences, Karunakaran has expressed regret for his words in fresh social media posts.

The Soodhu Kavvum and Yaamirukka Bayamey actor said: “I actually don’t hate any one .I feel sorry I should not have used that word hate @actorvijayAnna one of my favourite he knows I am sorry if I have hurt any one by words on social media… I mean it. Sorry.”

Earlier, Karunakaran said, “Is Kutty Kadhai only for leaders or also for actors ask your fans to not be abusive nanba Nanby and check if they listen. Plz ask them not to be abusive and hateful #Peace bro”.

“Comments posted by an actor’s fans define the quality of an actor”, Karunakaran added.

Karunakaran has appeared in character or comedian roles. He made his breakthrough in Soodhu Kavvum (2013) portraying the role of Arumai Pragasam, and played notable roles in Yaamirukka Bayamey (2014) and Jigarthanda (2014).

Karunakaran’s father is a former RAW agent and he grew up in New Delhi, before later moving to Trichy with his parents, where he met short film maker and friend Nalan Kumarasamy.

He Studied his secondary schooling at Sri Akilandeswari Vidyalaya Trichy. He initially made a career as chemical engineer, graduating from SASTRA University, and then as an IT professional at Accenture, before Nalan approached him to feature in a short film he was making for the reality television show, Naalaya Iyakkunar.

Karunakaran had featured in such short film ventures at school and Nalan had cast him in Nenjuku Neethi, which went on to win the first place award that season.

Sundar C gave him brief roles in two of his ventures, while he made his first breakthrough portraying Vijay Sethupathi’s friend in Karthik Subbaraj’s Pizza (2012), after which he left work and concentrated on a career in films.
