Karthi’s Vaa Vaathiyaar streams on Prime Video

Vaa Vaathiyaar, starring Karthi, made its theatrical debut during Pongal. The action-comedy film is now streaming on Prime Video, offering viewers the opportunity to watch it in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi.

The move breaks the usual four-week OTT window in Tamil cinema and is available in just two weeks.

Prime Video bagged the OTT rights of Vaa Vaathiyaar in all the languages. The film’s streaming availability commenced on January 28, providing subscribers access soon after its limited cinema run.

Vaa Vaathiyaar features Karthi in the leading role, with Krithi Shetty marking her Tamil debut alongside a supporting cast including Sathyaraj, Raj Kiran, Anandraj, and others.

Santhosh Narayanan composed the music for this action-comedy, which received a lot of appreciation.

The story follows a grandfather who is an ardent admirer of the late Tamil superstar MG Ramachandran.

He raises his grandson with strong ethical values, believing him to be a reincarnation of the star. The plot develops as the grandson, who becomes a corrupt police officer, faces an internal struggle tied to his grandfather’s idol.
