Karthi all praise for July Kaatril director

Karthi has released the audio and teaser of July Kaatril, a romantic drama which deals with love, breakup, and relationships.

KC Sundaram, a childhood friend of Karthi, will be making his directorial debut with this film after assisting the late cinematographer and director Jeeva.

“Sundaram is my childhood friend. Due to his busy shooting schedules, our dad rarely took us on outings when we were children. One place we frequented was Sundaram’s house in Kodaikanal.

We used to feel very happy as their affection and hospitality was incomparable. Late ace lyricist Muthukumar who gave me memorable songs and gave me an identity has penned songs in this film. And, it will be an added advantage. So, I felt it was my duty to attend this function,” he added.

Saravanan Pazhaniappan, the producer of the upcoming film July Kaatril announced that the families of the 44 CRPF troops who died in Pulwama attack will be given Rs 1 lakh each.

Meanwhile, Kasturi, who was hosting the event, asked Karthi to speak a few words before trying to take a selfie. She said that as his father was not around she was trying to take the selfie, which was a dig at his father Sivakumar, who got furious when people took seflies without his permission recently.

Karthi slammed the selfie-taking culture without seeking the person’s permission. “It is disrespectful for anybody to take selfies without asking prior permission from the concerned person. With flash lights in both front and backside of the cell phones, people don’t realise that it would affect a person with migraine,” he said at the audio launch.
