There have been reports in certain sections of the media that Kamal Haasan will be doing a film for AVM Productions, the production house that introduced him in Kalathoor Kannamma as a child artiste.
However when probed, it has emerged that no such project is on the cards. Earlier, reports said the movie in question would be helmed by actor-filmmaker Mouli, with whom Kamal had made Pammal K Sammandham.
Mouli, who was seen in films like Apoorva Sagotharargal (1989), is a long time friend of Kamal, and had directed him in Pammal K Sambandham (2002).
Following that year, Kamal had co-written Mouli’s directorial Nala Damayanthi (2003), which had Madhavan in lead, it may be recalled.
Denying Kamal-AVM-Mouli project, sources said currently the Ulaganayagan’s focus is only on completing Sabash Naidu, the shoot of which he will be resuming in January 2017.
AVM Studios, has made path-breaking films like Parasakthi (1952), and also introduced Kamal Haasan as a child artiste in Kalathur Kannamma (1959).
