Kamal Haasan has said that Vishwaroopam 2 is an intense story set in a commercial format.
In an interview to Ananda Vikatan, he said, “In the first part, we shot the major portions of the film in the USA but in the sequel, we have come to India.
I believe that one can narrate an intense story within commercial format. I would the say that script has come in such a way that you can’t categorize this one as art-house cinema or commercial cinema, Vishwaroopam 2 is a story meant to reach the people”.
Kamal added that the film will have powerful political dialogues but it’s not a political film.
On his other upcoming film Sabaash Naidu, he said, “We have completed 40% of the film already. Though there is a caste name in the film, it doesn’t mean I celebrate it. M R Radha opposed caste system but he wrote dialogues mentioning caste names.”
Meanwhile, Hindu Makkal Katchi today staged a protest against Bigg Boss 2 hosted by Kamal at Jagannathan Salai at Nungambakkam, where Vijay TV’s office is located.
According to the party, the intimate scenes that are being telecast in the show have triggered the protest. “Particularly the acts of Yashika Aannand, Aishwarya
Dutta, Mahat Raghavendra and Shariq Hassan are highly sensitive and not recommended for children to view,” Ganapathy Ravi, state organisation secretary of HMK, said.
