Kamal Haasan today returned home after three weeks’ stay in hospital, as he fractured his leg while getting down the stairs of his house-office at Alwarpet durign the middle of July.
Fans celebrated the ‘good news’ by bursting fire crackers. A couple of days, he started walking, it may be noted.
Updating this on his microblogging page, the actor-director tweeted: “Was up on my feet. A small spin around the room. Of course with two to assist on either side like Gandhiji;). Today was less painful.”
Earlier, two days after he underwent a surgery for a leg fracture at a hospital in Chennai, Kamal said he was on the path of recovery.
“I stood up, sat and soon I will walk and come to thank you all. No words to thank you for your love, yours Kamal Haasan,” he said in an audio statement.
Meanwhile, his elder brother Chandra Haasan has revealed that the actor has undergone a surgery for the fracture in his leg and doctors have advised him to take rest for six weeks.
The 61-year old actor tripped from the stairs of his office and suffered a fracture in his right leg here in the wee hours of July 14. He was operated the same day and was advised to be in the hospital for a few days.
“Be it a mishap or trouble, the love showered by fans, friends and well-wishers is amazing. What else could I say,” he said in a voice message from a private hospital in the city that has gone viral in social media.
