Kamal asks Rajini, Vijay, Ajith, Suriya to join Modi

Makkal Needhi Maiam founder-president Kamal Haasan has asked various celebrities to support to Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, who has urged the citizens of our country to take part in the one day Janata Curfew on March 22 (Sunday) from 7 am to 9 pm as a test routine for the emergency coronavirus outbreak in the country.

In a tweet, Kamal said, “I stand in full solidarity with our Prime Minister’s call for #JantaCurfew. In this extraordinary situation, we have to take extraordinary measures. It’s a disaster that has befallen on us and by staying united and indoors, we can Stay Safe.”

Kamal Haasan has tagged his fellow actors Rajinikanth, Ajith, Vijay, Suriya, Vikram, Dhanush, Simbu, Vijay Sethupathi, Ilayaraja, Anirudh Ravichander, GV Prakash Kumar, Ghibran and Devi Sri Prasad at the end of his tweet supporting PM Modi.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called for a people’s curfew on Sunday in a drastic step by his administration to prevent curb of coronavirus, people of Tamil Nadu have offered their support to him.

Ever since his announcement on Thursday night, there are thousands of posts on social media from people of Tamil Nadu, offering their support to him in the war against covid-19.

“March 22 will be a symbol of our effort, of our self-restraint, and our resolve to fulfil our duty in service of the nation. The success of a people’s curfew on 22 March, and the experience gained from it, will also prepare us for our upcoming challenges,” Modi said in his address. “I urge all state governments to take leadership in ensuring compliance of this people’s curfew.”

“This people’s curfew will in a way be a litmus test for us, for our nation. This is also the time to see and test how prepared India is for fighting off a Corona-like global pandemic,” Modi said.

“During this curfew, we shall neither leave our homes, nor get onto the streets or roam about our localities. Only those associated with emergency and essential services will leave their homes,” he added.
