Kalyani Priyadarshan has dedicated this year Onam celebrations to nurses who are fighting Covid-19 from the frontline. The actress, who made her Kollywood debut with Sivakarthikeyan starrer Hero, has taken to social media to reveal this.
Uploading a picture of herself in a saree and sitting next to her Pookolam, the daughter of filmmaker Priyadarshan and actress Lissy, wrote, “I’ve always been taught that Onam is about sharing happiness and being thankful for our blessings.”
“This year, I am extremely thankful to all the nurses, who have worked non-stop to give selfless care, allowing countless COVID patients to be back home for Onam,” she added.
The actress further said: “So I feel proud to dedicate my Onam Pookolam to our nurses- for their love, care & support through this pandemic and always. I hope you guys will also join me in this small gesture to show our thanks.”
Kalyani is currently part of STR aka Simbu starrer Maanaadu directed by Venkat Prabhu and other projects. Kalyani Priyadarshan is an Indian film actress who appears in Malayalam,Tamil and Telugu films.
After taking B.F.A. in architecture designing from Parsons School of Design, New York City, she worked as an assistant in the production design of Krrish 3 (2013) and Iru Mugan (2016).
She made her acting debut in the 2017 Telugu film Hello for which she won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut – South and 7th South Indian International Movie Awards.
