Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal review

Story:

Vijay Sethupathi comes from a small village and feels himself to be very unlucky.

So, upset with this, he comes to the city and does multiple jobs.

He works as a cab driver and falls in love with Nayanthara.

At the night, he works as a bouncer and woos Samantha.

Why did he date two girls? Whom will he marry?

How did Kanmani and Khatija react to this weird situation?

That forms the rest of the story.

Analysis:

One of the biggest assets of the film is the presence of stars like Samantha, Nayanthara, and Vijay Sethupathi.

Vijay Sethupathi does well as the man stuck between two women.

Samantha gets to play a posh girl with an open mind. She brings a lot of relief with her fun role.

Nayanthara gets to play a simple middle-class girl and she too was okay within her limitations.

Other artists who did supporting characters are okay in their respective roles.

The film has an interesting premise and looks good on paper. But director Vignesh Shivan could have executed in a better manner.

Music by Anirudh Ravichander is good as his background score elevates a couple of key scenes nicely.

cinematograhy by SR Kathir is fine.

Rating: 3.2/5
