The first single from Kaala, Semma Weighttu…, which was released on Tuesday evening, has evoked mixed reactions from Rajini fans.
While there are many who have welcomed and enjoyed the rap-style song, there are others who criticised it for reminding one of Neruppu da, Veera Thurandhara, Petta Rap, Aathichudi etc.
Meannwhile, Pete Draper, who is looking after the VFX of the movie, hopes the audience will not be able to tell the difference between the real world and computer generated imagery (CGI).
Makuta co-founder and CEO Draper, who had worked in big blockbusters Eega, Ghajini, Magadheera, Endhiran and Baahubali, said, “The experience of working on the film has been very good.”
He added: The set work which we have to do… It is one of the biggest that we have worked on.
In the meantime, Cadbury Five Star has come forward and signed deal with Kaala, which is all set to release on June 7. Airtel India is also likely to sign a deal with Kaala and Havells India has teamed up with the Rajinikanth starrer as consumer durable partner.
