Former AIADMK MP K C Palanisamy, who was released on conditional bail on Thursday, asserted that he will continue to be a member of the AIADMK.
He was released from the prison on Thursday after he was granted conditional bail by the Coimbatore principal district and sessions court on Tuesday. He was arrested on January 25 for running a fake website in the name of AIADMK despite having been expelled from the party.
Claiming that he had not received any official letter from the party regarding his expulsion, he said he would remain in AIADMK forever and never switch over to any other party even if jailed 100 times.
Palanisamy was arrested on January 25 based on a complaint that he was using AIADMK’s two leaves symbol and also running a website in the name of the party, despite being expelled from it.
Palanisamy demanded the party to furnish proof in writing that he had been formally expelled. Palanisamy alleged that he was not released on Wednesday despite the Principal District and Sessions Court issuing the conditional bail on Tuesday evening.
He also added that he has been fighting for the primary members of the party to get their rights to elect a general secretary for the party.
“AIADMK informed through media that I was removed from the party. But the party did not give any letters in written about my removal from the party. The party also did not send any letters to my address,” Palanisamy said.
