JSK Satish Kumar shows new dimension as actor after making his mark as film producer and distributor

JSK Satish Kumar, distributor of multi-lingual hit films and producer of movies including the National Awards winning ‘Thanga Meenkal’, ‘Kuttram Kadithal’, ‘Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara’, ‘Naalu Policeum Nalla Irundha Oorum’, ‘Madhayaanai Kootam’, ‘Taramani’, ‘Puriyadha Pudhir’ and the soon-to-be-released ‘Andava Kaanom’, is now showing a new dimension as an actor.

JSK Satish Kumar, who played the role of a police officer in the recently released movie ‘Aneethi’ directed by Vasantha Balan, continues to receive praises from various quarters for his good performance.

JSK Satish Kumar’s acting journey started in 2017 with an important role in the film ‘Taramani’ directed by Ram, followed by ‘Peranbu’ helmed by Ram and starring Mammootty, ‘Kabadadaari’ starring Sibiraj, ‘Friendship’ starring famous cricketer Harbhajan Singh and Arjun. Notably, JSK Satish Kumar also dubbed for his role in the Telugu versions of ‘Kabadadaari’ (titled ‘Kapatadhaari’) and ‘Friendship’. And now, his role as a police inspector in ‘Aneethi’ has attracted everyone’s attention

Following these, he is playing a pivotal roles in Amma Creations T Siva-produced ‘Agni Siragugal’ directed by Naveen and starring Arun Vijay and Vijay Antony, ‘Vaazhai’ directed by Mari Selvaraj, director Ranjit Jayakodis ‘Yaarukkum Anjael’, Srikanth and Natti co-starring ‘Sambavam’ and ‘Xavier’ with Harbhajan Singh once again.

Opening up about his acting journey, JSK Satish Kumar said, “The reason I became an actor was director Ram, who gave me an important role in ‘Taramani’. The appreciation and support I got for it has kept me going as an actor.”

Speaking further, he said, “What I have realized in all these years of production and distribution experience is that there is always a demand for actors playing character roles and audience love artistes delivering good performance in such roles. I am very happy that other important roles are also coming to me beyond character roles. I will continue to play key roles in films with good storylines.”

Talking about his transition from being a producer to an actor, JSK Satish Kumar said, “Actors are turning producers and producers are becoming actors. There is nothing wrong in it. I will continue to focus on both acting and production.”
