John Vijay, who was appreciated for his performance in films such as Kabali, Kalakalappu and Mounaguru, has now tried his hand at singing.
The actor has crooned a song for the film, Aaluku Padhi that has Sethu of Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya fame and Shruti playing the lead.
In an recent interview, on how he was roped in for Kabali, he said, ““Director Ranjith saw my other films, and he thought I would be perfect to play Rajinikanth’s sidekick in Kabali. When I went to meet him, I did not know that I was called in for an audition for the movie.”
“I walked in casually without knowing that he was the same Ranjith, who directed Madras! Only halfway through the narration I realised that it was Madras Ranjith, and I confronted him with this. It was a big mistake on my part. But, everything is now cool between the two of us.”
John Vijay did his M.Sc in Visual Communication from Loyola College. Vijay also works as the head programme director of Radio One FM. John is the chief of ‘H2O’, an advertising agency with its office at Nungambakkam.
