Jayam Ravi makes a mark, expresses gratitude to fans

Jayam Ravi, who made his debut with Jayam directed by his elder brother Mohan Raja, has successfully completed 17 years in film industry. He has thanked fans for their love and support.

“17 years of this beautiful journey… thankful, blessed, humbled and overwhelmed seeing my Twitter for the last few days.” the Santhosh Subramaniam and Something Something Unakkum Enakkum actor posted.

“My fans have truly made this a celebration for us! I am who I am because of my strong army of brothers Heart suit #17YearsOfJayamRavi #17YearsOfJayamRaviCDP God Bless,” he added.

Jayam Ravi is currently busy with 25th film Bhoomi and Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan. The actor said in a statement last year: “Definitely, I feel very happy and is going through a good phase where people are writing and talking well of me. First and foremost, I must thank filmmakers Shakthi Soundar Rajan (Tik Tik Tik) and Karthik Thangavel (Adanga Maru) for the earnest belief they had on me.”

“These films had the scripts that any superstar across the country wouldn’t miss at any cost. But their first ever thought of imagining me as the protagonist in these movies makes me literally elated.”

He added: “Of course, if not for the producers of Tik Tik Tik and my mother-in-law Sujataa Vijaykumar (producer of ‘Adanga Maru’), these films would have not materialized like how it is now.

The success of these films make me feel the baggage of responsibility in carefully choosing my next movies. In addition, the technicians in both the film had their own challenges, which they took it by heart and soul to deliver the best outputs. My co-stars have been a real blessing as they too came up with excellent performance urging me to push the bar, he concluded.
