Jayam Ravi has refuted reports in few sections of the media, which claimed that he signed a 3-film deal with Screen Scene Media Private Limited as the production house offered him a Rs 20 crore worth bungalow at the upmarket Poes Garden in Chennai.
In a tweet, the actor said, “Grateful for my fans who know me the best I request publications to check facts before speculating on baseless rumors”.
The reports earlier said that in return for the posh property, Ravi agreed to do three films. But Ravi’s fans gave a befitting reply to the news report saying that the actor would do films only for his fans and not for money or other properties.
At present, Ravi is shooting for debutant director Pradeep’s Komali in which Kajal Aggarwal is paired opposite to the actor. Ravi is also likely to join hands with his brother Mohan Raja for the sequel of Thani Oruvan.
Recently, Ravi, who had a good show in 2018 with Tik Tik Tik and Adanga Maru, issued a statement. He said, “Definitely, I feel very happy and is going through a good phase where people are writing and talking well of me. First and foremost, I must thank filmmakers Shakthi Soundar Rajan (Tik Tik Tik) and Karthik Thangavel (Adanga Maru) for the earnest belief they had on me.”
“These films had the scripts that any superstar across the country wouldn’t miss at any cost. But their first ever thought of imagining me as the protagonist in these movies makes me literally elated.”
He added: “Of course, if not for the producers of Tik Tik Tik and my mother-in-law Sujataa Vijaykumar (producer of ‘Adanga Maru’), these films would have not materialized like how it is now.
The success of these films make me feel the baggage of responsibility in carefully choosing my next movies. In addition, the technicians in both the film had their own challenges, which they took it by heart and soul to deliver the best outputs. My co-stars have been a real blessing as they too came up with excellent performance urging me to push the bar, he concluded.
