In yet another update on the health condition of chief minister J Jayalalithaa, a senior AIADMK leader has said that she may be discharged from Apollo Hospitals in less than 15 days.
AIADMK spokesperson C Ponnaiyan said, “In less than 15 days she might be discharged. All her vital parameters are under control. She is being given physiotherapy exercises.”
Asked about the decision to shift Jayalalithaa from the critical care unit (CCU) to a private room, he said, “The difference between the two is the existence of emergency equipments.”
A few days ago, sources said Jayalalithaa is likely to be shifted from the critical care unit (CCU) to a room in Apollo Hospitals in about three days.
“Not only is she conscious, but she even wrote down her own menu and is eating her food, and not being fed through a tube,” sources were quoted as saying.
Also, Apollo Hospital chairman Dr Pratap C Reddy said she has completely recovered and would soon be discharged. It is expected that a bulletin explaining her health condition will be issued in three or four days.
