The ruling AIADMK has said that party supremo and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, who has been in hospital since September 22, was “completely well” and will return home soon.
“Amma (Jayalalithaa) has progressed very well under the daily monitoring of Apollo Hospital doctors and specialists and soon she will return home,” AIADMK spokesperson CR Saraswathy told reporters in Chennai.
Another spokesperson and former minister C Ponnaiyan too confirmed the same and said the CM is presently taking rest at the hospital and will be back to work soon.
Jayalalithaa is sitting up and is completely off sedation during the day, marking a fairly important milestone in her recovery process since she was admitted to Apollo Hospitals last month, reports said.
The team of specialists treating her calibrated the drug dosage, which led to success in treating the continuing issue of pulmonary oedema. The mitral valve infection was treated effectively and, as a result, fluid accumulation in the lungs has been halted.
Meanwhile, former AIADMK minister and BJP leader HV Hande also expressed confidence that Jayalalithaa will return home soon.
Hande visited Apollo Hospitals and said he met the doctors and Deputy Speaker of Lok Sabha, M Thambidurai.
