IISKCON Chennai to Celebrate Grand Sri Krishna Janmashtami Festival
ISKCON Chennai joyfully invites you to celebrate Sri Krishna Janmashtami, the divine appearance day of Lord Sri Krishna, from Friday,
August 15 to Sunday, August 17, 2025.
Janmashtami is one of the most cherished festivals of the year, commemorating the moment when the Supreme Lord descended on
earth over 5,000 years ago to reestablish dharma and shower His mercy on all living beings. It is a time when hearts come together in
devotion, joy, and celebration.
Over three spiritually uplifting days, our temple will be filled with soulful kirtans, sacred abhishekams, beautiful aratis, inspiring
discourses, and festive devotion. Thousands of devotees from all walks of life will join in to celebrate Krishna’s divine appearance and
feel the spiritual energy that fills the air.
The main Janmashtami celebrations will take place on Saturday, August 16, starting early in the morning and culminating in a grand
midnight Maha Abhishekam and Maha Arati—the sacred moment of Lord Krishna’s birth. We invite you to come experience the divine
atmosphere, offer your prayers, and be part of this unforgettable celebration of love and devotion.
