There was a buzz that SJ Suryah will be playing the antagonist in Ajith’s upcoming film. Tentatively titled Thala 60, it is directed by H Vinoth of Theeran Adhigaram Ondru and is produced by Boney Kapoor.
Ajith fans were extremely happy, as SJ Suryah’s debut movie Vaali had Ajith as the lead, and Suryah has been scoring well as a villain with movies like Spyder and Mersal.
However, clearing the air, the Vaali and Kushi maker said, “Dear all , it’s a fake news that I am part of thala 60 …. I have great respect for our Ajith sir and @SrideviBKapoor ji ……… don’t spread such fake news… thx … sjs.”
In the meantime, Thala Ajith is awaiting the release of Nerkonda Paarvai, which is also directed by Vinoth. The film is a remake of the Hindi film, Pink.
Suryah had played a psychopath in Mahesh Babu’s Spyder. Suryah is currently basking in the success of his latest outing Monster, a children’s film in which a house rat makes life miserable for him after he moves into a new apartment.
In a recent media interaction, Suryah said he will concentrate on acting going forward after the grand reception for Monster. A few days ago, reports said Boney Kapoor met Suryah last week in Chennai to discuss the project and is said to have even got him to give his nod in principle.
Suryah had said at the Monster press meet recently that he will pick his roles with care and make films like Monster for the next ten years. “At a time when people watch films for star value, it feels good that crowds come in for good stories as well,” he said.
