Is Alia Bhatt Hollywood bound?

Alia Bhatt is reportedly set to follow in the footsteps of Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Deepika Padukone, with work in Hollywood.

According to BollywoodHungama, the actress has rumoured to be mulling over the idea of the projects in the West but has been snowed under with her Bollywood commitments. The report adds that she is looking for an agent to overlook her Hollywood work.

The actress, who was last seen in Dharma Productions’ Kalank (2019), is currently shooting for his father’s Sadak 2. She will also begin the first shooting schedule of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi soon. The Gully Boy (2019) actress also steps into the South Indian film industry with celebrated filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli’s next magnum opus RRR.

According to reports, Alia Bhatt has now started exploring opportunities in the West as well. Reportedly, she is already scouting for an international celebrity manager. Well, looks like Bhatt is set to be the next Bollywood actress to branch out to Hollywood after the likes of Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

“Now that she is in Los Angeles, she is not just holidaying with best friend Akanksha Ranjan, but is also on a lookout for an international celebrity manager,” said the report.

The report further added that Alia wants to keep a balance between Bollywood and Hollywood. Reportedly, the actress feels that it is the right time to explore more opportunities abroad.

Alia Bhatt is an actress and singer of Indian origin and British citizenship, who works in Hindi films. The recipient of several accolades, including three Filmfare Awards, Bhatt is one of the highest-paid actresses in India. She has appeared in Forbes India’s Celebrity 100 list since 2014 and was featured by Forbes Asia in their 30 Under 30 list of 2017.

Born into the Bhatt family, she is the daughter of filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and actress Soni Razdan. After making her acting debut as a child in the 1999 thriller Sangharsh, Bhatt played her first leading role in Karan Johar’s teen drama Student of the Year (2012). She went on to establish herself with starring roles in several films produced by Johar’s studio Dharma Productions, including the romances 2 States (2014).
