Ever since there was a buzz that Ajith’s next film would be produced by Boney Kapoor, it was being claimed that the project would be a Tamil remake of Bollywood hit Pink and it would be directed by Vinoth of Sathuranga Vettai and Dheeran Adhigaram Ondru fame.
On Wednesday, a fake Twitter handle of Vinoth posted that his next with Ajith is not the remake of Pink and it will be based on an original script.
Even as Ajith fans shared the tweet and some of the media houses also reported that the actor’s next is not the remake of the acclaimed Bollywood film, Vinoth has issued a statement.
“Any updates on my upcoming projects will be revealed by the respective production houses and the concerned department,” he said and added he is dissociated with all the social platforms including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
Meanwhile, it has become official that superstar Rajinikanth’s Petta will clash with Ajith’s Viswasam which too is hitting the screens for Pongal.
This is the first time that Rajinikanth and Ajith are locking horns at the box-office after almost two decades, with their last clash being Padayappa-Vaali in 1999. While both Petta and Viswasam will battle for the 1200 odd screens in Tamil Nadu, it’s certainly going to be one of the most significant clashes in K’town.
Meanwhile, RJ Balaji’s political entertainer LKG, which marks his debut as a lead hero, has also confirmed its release date for Pongal and made a surprise entry to the harvest festival.
