Lately, Tamil films are continously winning awards and accolades. Close on the heels of Visaranai getting nominated for the Oscars, Madhavan starrer Irudhi Suttru has been selected for the Tokyo International Film Festival.
For Japan premiere , the film has been titled as Final Round and the screening will be happening on October 31st.
“#IrudhiSuttru has been selected for the prestigious #TIFF16 Tokyo International film festival. Premier screening on 31st Oct @ActorMadhavan”, posted the film’s producer Sashikanth on his Twitter page.
Irudhi Suttru is a 2016 Indian sports drama film written and directed by Sudha Kongara. Simultaneously shot in Tamil and Hindi, the film features R. Madhavan in the leading role as a boxing coach, with newcomer Ritika Singh as an aspiring boxer.
Both versions are produced by S. Sashikanth for Y NOT Studios and UTV Motion Pictures, while C. V. Kumar’s Thirukumaran Entertainment co-produces the Tamil version and Madhavan’s Tricolour Films with Rajkumar Hirani present the Hindi version respectively. Music is by Santhosh Narayanan.
