In India there are 335 million menstruating women in India and out of which an estimated 121 million girls and women are currently using disposable sanitary pads a month in India.   Menstrual health and Hygiene Management is a Much needed and imperative need of the society in terms of the growing population of women who have adapted to an active life style.

While there is no specific goal or indicator for Menstrual Health and Hygiene Management  in  United Nation’s Global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), it is linked directly or indirectly to various SDGs including the most important aspect pertaining to health namely Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages.    In the last decade, policymaking in India has increasingly focused on menstrual health.  However, Government alone will not be able to totally take care of the MHH management.  This is the place in which Private entities and NGO play a vital role.
