Industry veteran talks about Sivakarthikeyan issue

Sivakarthikeyan has stirred a controversy by saying last week that some people are disturbing him from doing his work.

Amid support from Simbu and Nadigar Sangam general secretary Vishal, PL Thenappan, one of the senior office bearers of Tamil Film Producers Council has revealed that three producers have raised issues against Sivakarthikeyan.

According to Thenappan, Studio Green Gnanavelraja has an agreement signed by Sivakarthikeyan for a possible project while Escape Artists Madan and Vendhar Movies Madan are allegedly saying that they had paid advance amount to the Remo actor.

Thenappan has also said that since Vishal and STR have also mentioned that they had faced similar problems, they can register a complaint and the council will gladly help them to solve their issues.

Meanwhile, Simbu has said why he supported Siva. “Everyone knows that Sivakarthikeyan has never been my close friend but I really sympathise with him.

Even when I had gone through similar situation during Vaalu release or the recent Beep song controversy, no one from the industry or my so-called friends stood up and spoke or empathized with me. Now when someone is going through a similar tough time, I wanted to support him”.

At the success meet of his recent film Remo in Chennai on Tuesday, Sivakarthikeyan said some in the industry were plotting against him and creating all types of troubles. He broke down and said Remo hit the screens after successfully crossing them.

“Please allow us to work. Even if you don’t help us, don’t disturb us. We want to entertrain the audience. Please allow us to do so,” he said.

He further said producer Raja suffered a lot to release the movie and all credits go to him.
