Indian Poster Designer Gopi Prasannaa Represents India at Taiwan International Design Festival 2026
The Taiwan International Design Festival 2026 is being held from September 24 to October 11, 2026. As part of the festival, 20 eminent designers from diverse fields across the world—including automobile design, graphic design and product design—have been invited to participate and showcase their works under the theme “Taoyuan POV (Taoyuan: Point of View)”.
Among the four designers invited to represent India, Mr. Gopi Prasannaa, from Tamil Nadu, has been invited in recognition of his distinguished contribution to the south Indian film industry. A renowned poster designer, Gopi Prasannaa has worked on the promotional designs of more than 200 successful films, including Aaranya Kaandam, Kaththi, Vikram Vedha, Super Deluxe, Ponniyin Selvan and Raaka, among several others.
His work displayed at the exhibition has attracted considerable attention and appreciation from the festival organisers, curators, art enthusiastics and fellow participating designers.
Representing India, Gopi Prasannaa conceptualised himself as a traditional Tamil Therukoothu (street theatre) artist and created a distinctive work that reflects the culture of Taoyuan through his own artistic perspective. His unique interpretation and visual treatment have received an enthusiastic response at the exhibition.
The works of Mandar Shashikant Rane, Ishan Khosla and Priyanka Kanyekar were also showcased at the exhibition as part of India’s representation.
As part of the “Mirror of the City” event held in Taoyuan City, Mr. Gopi Prasannaa also participated in the programme and inaugurated the “Light and Shadow Art” festival, presented with contemporary audiovisual installations and technologies.
The Light and Shadow Art exhibition will remain open to the public until October 17, 2026.
