Makkal Needhi Maiam and actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan today said his upcoming film Indian 2 will be his last movie since his party would contest in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.
He confirmed the same during a media interaction session at Kizhakkambalam. “Makkal Needhi Maiam will field candidates in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections from Tamil Nadu,” he said.
Kamal added: “I’ll quit acting after the upcoming project Indian 2, the shooting of which is slated to start on 14 December.”
He however said that his production company Rajkamal Film International would be financing several public-centered programmes. Meanwhile, Kajal Aggarwal has confirmed she is a part of Indian 2.
At the audio launch of her upcoming Telugu film Kavacham, she said, “I also have a film with Kamal Haasan sir. I am looking forward to working with him.”
