Fresh Covid-19 cases reported in the country remained close to 35,000 for the second day running even as 671 deaths were added to the toll on Friday, taking the total deaths past 26,000.
Active coronavirus cases across the country crossed the 3.5 lakh mark while total recoveries from the disease went past 6.5 lakh, representing nearly 63% of the total cases.
With 34,884 cases in the last 24 hours, the total number of infections in India rose to 10,38,716, including 26,273 deaths, 3,58,692 active cases and 6,53,751 recoveries.
No passenger flights will operate to Kolkata from Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Pune, Chennai, Nagpur and Ahmedabad between until July 31, the Kolkata airport said as it extended its ban on flights from above-mentioned cities on Friday.
