INDIA bloc VP candidate likely to meet CM Stalin

Opposition Vice-Presidential candidate B. Sudarshan Reddy is scheduled to meet with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK President M.K. Stalin in Chennai tomorrow.
The meeting is a crucial step in the INDIA bloc’s campaign to secure support for Reddy in the upcoming election for the country’s second-highest constitutional post.
DMK, a key ally in the INDIA bloc, has already publicly expressed its support for Reddy’s candidature. CM Stalin had earlier hailed Reddy as the “right choice” who stands for “secularism, federalism, social justice, and unity in diversity.”
The meeting with the Chief Minister is expected to be a strategic one, aimed at firming up the support base among the DMK’s allied parties and other regional groups in the state.
While the NDA’s candidate, C.P. Radhakrishnan, a Tamilian, has put the DMK in a “political bind,” the party has stated its commitment to the INDIA bloc and its collective resolve to safeguard democratic institutions.
