The second song from Petta is out. Titled Ullaallaa, the dance number has an energetic vibe. Producer Sun Pictures shared the lyric video on their official social media pages.
The single with meaningful philosophical lines features visuals of Rajinikanth shaking his legs with a bunch of youngsters. The superstar looks young and energetic.
Composer Anirudh Ravichander said he has taken the fun and naughtiness quotient of Ullaallaa from Rajinikanth’s hit comedy film Thillu Millu, directed by K Balachander in the 1980s.
Hoping to recreate this mood in Rajinikanth’s upcoming Petta, music director Anirudh shared in a sneak-peek clip that the next song from the film was inspired by this particular scene from the star’s cult classic.
In the one-minute video, Anirudh was heard saying, “This is Thalaivar Baila – ‘Ullaallaa’. We must’ve enjoyed his naughtiness in the Thillu Mullu football stadium scene. So we thought it would be fun to have such a number in Petta. Hope you guys enjoy ‘Ullaallaa’.”
Directed by Karthik Subbaraj of Jigarthanda fame, the film boasts of an all-star cast which includes Vijay Sethupathi, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Simran and Trisha among others. It is slated to hit the screens for Pongal.
