In Dagaalty, Santhanam plays Tamil guy settled in Mumbai

The first look of Santhanam’s upcoming film, titled Dagaalty, has been unveiled. The poster has Santhanam sporting a stylish and massy look lighting a cigerette.

The film which has Yogi Babu in a key role is directed by Vijay Anand, an erstwhile assistant of director Shankar. Dagaalty, featuring Rittika Sen as the female lead, is currently in post-production.

While the film’s cinematography is handled by Deepak Kumar Padhy, TS Suresh and Shobi are in charge of editing and choreography, respectively. Singer Vijaynarain is making his debut as a music director with Dagaalty.

Santhanam, after the failure of Sakka Podu Podu Raja recently scored a success with the sequel entertainer Dhillukku Dhuddu 2, the horror comedy and is getting ready for his next release A1 co-starring Tara Alisha Berry and directed by debutant Johnson.

At this scenario, the first look poster of Dagaalty has been releasedy. The poster has Santhanam sporting a stylish and massy look and looks like this one will be a fun movie with loads of action as well.

The film will have the actor playing a man who hails from Mumbai. Billed as a fast-paced action-comedy, the movie, which has travel as one of its elements, has completed over 70 per cent of its production.

At a time when Rajini, Vijay, Dhanush and Sivakarthikeyan are getting flak for their smoking acts from moral policing politicians leading to some of them even resolving not to sport a similar look, Santhanam’s bold poster is sure to stir up a controversy.

Santhanam is also likely to soon join hands with his Dhilukku Dhuddu series director Rambhala. However, the actor’s Server Sundaram, Oodi Oodi Uzhaikanum and Mannavan Vanthanadi are struggling to hit the screens due to the financial tussle of the respective producers.
