Director A R Murugadoss has come up with an interesting explanation on why he has not joined hands with Kamal Haasan for a film.
In a webinar, Murugadoss said, “Kamal sir is the wonderful artist of this century. But I have my doubts whether I’m intelligent enough to team up with him.”
The Ghajini and Ramana maker said further, “Most of the directors’ best works are with Kamal sir. K Viswanath’s best films are Salangai Oli and Sippikul Muthu.”
According to Murugadoss, “Mani Ratnam’s best is Nayagan, Shankar’s best is Indian, and Gautham Menon’s best is Vettaiyadu Vilayadu. If I decided to work with Kamal sir, I should come up with a script that supersedes all my previous films.”
Murugadoss, while saying that Vijay would completly dedicate himself to the director’s vision, has also said the ‘Thalapathy’ has got amazing memory power.
Murugadoss, who is set to join hands with Vijay for the fourth time, said, “Vijay has got a tremendous memory power that he can recite lengthy dialogues and perform difficult dance moves by watching the rehearsal only once.”
The Thuppakki and Darbar maker added: “He is only responsible for the tremendous growth in the industry. Maybe his dad just introduced him but what he achieved right now is because of his talent and hard work.”
Murugadoss further said, “When SA Chandrasekhar sir called me for Thuppakki, he told me that his son would completely himself to the directors. I didn’t react much earlier but after working with him, I started realizsng that he completely surrenders himself to the director’s vision. I’m sure all the directors who worked with him would agree with me.”
“After the release of Mersal, Vijay sir came to my office and told me that the film is under the radar for a single dialogue but Sarkar is full of current politics so he asked me whether I was ready to face the controversies,” Murugadoss said recently.
