How fans responded after Ajith Kumar requests not be referred as Thala
Ajith Kumar, who is fondly called Thala by his fans, doesn’t want to be referred to as Thala anymore. The actor, who is not on social media, often shares his pictures and messages through his manager.
His publicist, Suresh Chandra, took to social media to share Ajith’s message where he requested his fans and the media to not call him Thala. They can either call him by his name Ajith or Ajith Kumar, or just AK.
“To The Respected members of the Media, public and genuine fans. I henceforth wish to be referred to as Ajith, Ajith Kumar or just AK n not as Thala or any other prefix b4 my name. I sincerely wish you all a beautiful life filled with good health, happiness, success, peace of mind and contentment forever. Love Ajith (sic),” read the tweet.
Meanwhile, fans of the actor flocked social media with memes while many said the move increased their respect towards Ajith.
On the work front, Ajith is awaiting the release of his next film Valimai, which is directed by H Vinoth. Valimai will release in theatres on Pongal 2022. Produced by Boney Kapoor, Valimai also stars Huma Qureshi, Kartikeya Gummakonda and Yogi Babu in pivotal roles.
Meanwhile, second single from the title ‘Mother Song’ will be released on 5 December at 6.30 pm.
