Superstar Rajinikanth on Thursday admitted that he has been discussing his political entry with politicians and well-wishers.
However, the top actor maintained suspense over when he is likely to take the plunge into politics.
“I have not denied it. We are discussing and yet to take a decision. Once I take a decision, I will inform you,” the actor told reporters at the Chennai airport, when asked about his meeting with several political leaders.
Asked by reporters when he would announce his entry into politics, the actor replied, “If it so happens, I will answer your questions then.”
Last week, Rajinikanth had met a delegation of 16 farmers, led by P Ayyakannu and supported their request to interlink rivers.
The 66-year-old actor told them that their request would be forwarded to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and had pledged Rs one crore for the same.
The actor, who met his fans during a five-day interaction in the Chennai in May, said he would meet the next set of fans in September or October
